Here is the sixth part my happiness series. We already discussed physical intelligence, creative intelligence, mental intelligence, emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence, and social intelligence.
What is good for us?
This is the phase of individual intelligence. Individual intelligence encompasses numerous abilities, like initiative, goal-directed adaptive behavior, judgment, practical sense, to think rationally, problem-solving, reflecting, etc.
With this step in your personal development to happiness, your focus will turn outwards. You will no longer wonder what is the right thing for yourself, what you want, or what important is to yourself. You will start to think about what is good for all of us, what is the right thing for all people in general. You will learn how to teach others and how to be a coach.
The major pitfall of this step is that due to your feelings that you ‘have seen the light’, have understanding now and your enthusiasm to help others in their life, you might seem like a know-it-all to others, who are not as far yet as you. Instead of helping others with your wisdom, others might avoid you or are not interested in what you have to say. Coaching is more than just knowing what the best thing to do is.
Robert Anton Wilson
Use your wisdom and live from your heart. You do not need to teach anyone. You can’t help or advise people who do not want it. And if you are confronted yourself with something that you do not want, think about the things that you do want to do and change course to the right direction.
You can’t go through these steps in a single day. Many people need more than a lifetime to get only halfway through these steps. The last step in the series will be about developing collective intelligence: 7) I know it in my heart.

Hi, I agree so much with your wisdom on this subject. Helping others sometimes happens by not saying a word and just listening. Knowing a lot of stuff doesn’t make one wise; it’s definitely how you apply it that sets a person a part as a mentor or coach. Thanks for helping us, Suzanne.
